Deep, almost black colour.
The nose is reserved but opens up after some minutes of aeration.
Dominant aromas of spices and liquorice impart smoothness, set off by some light toasted notes.
Full-bodied, voluptuous tannic structure, flavours of cherry liqueur mixed with blackberry jam.
The character is warm and vinous, while preserving a very fresh balance with an excellent touch of acidity, with a combination of strength and maturity.
After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged entirely in French oak barrels, made from the finest grain oak, for 12 months.
Cold cuts, grilled and complex meat, game, aged cheeses and dark chocolate desserts.
