Château Faugères Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé AOC

Located east of the coast of  Saint-Emilion, Château Faugères is next to Côtes de Castillon, its vineyards extend on both appellations.
In 1823 the Esquissaud family bought the châteaux Cap De Faugères, Faugères and Péby Faugères. The estates were revived in the 1990s, thanks to the steady improvement in the quality of the wines; the vintage was taken over by Sylvio Denz in the early 2000s: with his investments both in the vineyard and in a new spectacular winery, designed by Mario Botta, Sylvio Denz built his Château Faugères and Péby Faugères at the top of Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés.
