Domaine Boudau Clot del Pila Les Cargolines

Established in the 1920’s, the family Estate of Domaine Boudau is run by Véronique and Pierre Boudau since 1993. The Clot del Pila, predominantly Grenache is widely known as one of the best value reds from Roussillon. This full bodied red is hitting on all cylinders with vivid, ripe red cherry and raspberry flavors. Fresh, balanced and fun to drink, this very fruit forward gem has a little herb and spice that adds to its lush character.

APPEARANCE
Gorgeous garnet color.

NOSE
The pleasant scent offers fruit tones of strawberries, vivid ripe cherry, blackberries and has some hints of spice, chocolate and dry sun baked soil.

PALATE
The palate follows up on what the aroma promises; lively ripe berry fruit but with underlying hints of dry dusty soil and wild herbs, such as rosemary and thyme that grow in the hills here.
The wine is full, with nice structure, tannins are medium and the finish is slightly gravely.
Excellent quality / price ratio.

PAIRING
Recommended with red meat and cheese, also very good at accompanying game.
