Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Scharzhofberger Riesling Kabinett (off-dry)

Producing unique Rieslings that capture the distinctive personality of the great vineyard sites on the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer has been the mission at Weingut Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt for the last 650 years. The Gunter-Reh family arrived at the end of the 1970’s when they purchased the Imperial property of “Reichsgrafen von Kesselstatt” in 1978. Today, covering 46 hectares, their vines occupy an extraordinary range of superior terroirs along the three river valleys of Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, expressing the individuality and personality of these unique terroirs as effectively and tangibly as possible.
If you are an admirer of Riesling, you cannot miss this wonderful wine from the Cru Scharzhofberger, located in a side valley of the Saar river. In fact, this Scharzhofberger Riesling Kabinett comes from what is considered to be the most famous and climatically coolest vineyard in the entire area, with a 35-60% gradient, facing south, on soil composed of loess and slate (up to 70%). The result is a wine with deep mineral notes, which has incredible possibilities of aging, so much so that even the most advanced wines continue to show an extraordinary abundance of ripe fruit and notes of hydrocarbons.
