Lapostolle Apalta

Lapostolle Apalta is the new label produced in the Valle de Apalta to emphasize this amazing terroir. It could be considered as the third wine of Clos Apalta. The blend and the style is the same as Lapostolle Le Rouge, enhancing the French winemaking and blending expertise and the Chilean terroir at its best: from the Carmenère it gets its roundness and spicy expression; from Merlot, its red fruit and acidity; from Cabernet Sauvignon, its complexity and elegant structure; and from Syrah, its exuberant and attractive aromas and finally a touch of Cabernet Franc to complete the blend with its floral expression.

Lapostolle Clos Apalta

Clos Apalta is born in 1997 as the iconic wine of the Domaines Bournet-Lapostolle in Chile under the idea to magnify the exceptional terroir of Apalta with French expertise. Shaping the vineyard foot by foot, building a state-of-the-art gravity fed winery, the family succeeded in making Clos Apalta one of the most iconic wines in South America.

This special black and gold label bottling celebrates the 20th Anniversary of this classically structured and iconic wine.

“When I first came to Apalta it striked me; unique geography, climate and old vines that are not grafted. The potential that lay hidden in this incredible place came to reality with the creation of Clos Apalta”. – Jacques Begarie, Chief Winemaker.

Made with Organic Grapes and Biodynamic vineyard management.

Lapostolle Grand Selection Cabernet Sauvignon

Valle del Rapel is located in the central part of Chile. It exhibits a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with warm and dry days and pleasantly cool nights during the growing season, as a result of cold breezes coming from the Andes. Rapel has also a cool influence from the Pacific’s Humboldt Current, which lowers temperatures in the coastal areas of the valley. This leads to warm days with ample sunlight and dry conditions, allowing for a slow ripening period that produce Cabernets with an expressive nose and a pleasant structure.
