J. Hofstätter Steinraffler Lagrein DOC

This is a single vineyard wine sourced from Hofstatter’s Steinraffler estate. Hofstatter was the first producer in the Alto-Adige to produce single vineyard wines at the equivalent of the grand cru level.
The name of the site, Steinraffler, stems from the geological conditions: “Stein” is stone and “raffler” means collector – river stones transported by a small stream have collected here. The soil and unique microclimate,
determined by the warm Ora from Lake Garda and winds from Lake Kaltern-Caldaro, offer best conditions for Lagrein. This indigenous red wine variety has been cultivated in the South Tyrol Unterland since the 13th century. At 250 metres (820 ft.) above sea level and with easily warmed soils, the Steinraffler could not be better suited for this variety.
This is a wine of unusual contrasts – on the one hand full-bodied and concentrated while on the other, time and again tasters are surprised at its positive rusticity combined with elegance.

Jean Pabiot et Fils Domaine des Fines Caillottes Pouilly-Fumé

Son and grandson of Jean Pabiot, Alain and Jérôme manage the Domaine des Fines Caillottes within the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. The terroirs, mainly clay limestone, are therefore very varied: white limestone pebbles known as “caillottes”, marl with small fossilized oysters (kimmeridgian) and flint. This diversity of terroirs gives the estate’s wines their aromatic complexity.
The vineyards are sustainably managed, certified Terra Vitis, only organic fertilizers (manure) are used, green harvesting and leaf removal are carried out as necessary.
The “Domaine des Fines Caillottes” Pouilly-Fumé is the blend of wines from the great diversity of terroirs and vines of various ages from the estate.

L’Esprit de Chevalier Grand Vin de Graves Pessac-Leognan AOC

A property dating back to the late 1600s, Domaine du Chevalier has been in the hands of the Bernard family since 1983. It continues today as a family-owned and –run estate, with Olivier and Anne Bernard now joined by their sons Adrien and Hugo. Under Olivier’s direction, the estate has grown from its original 45 acres of vineyard to 300 acres today.
L’Esprit de Chevalier is the estate’s second wine, since 1989, a blend of wine made from the estate’s younger vines with vats that don’t have quite the structure and focus demanded for the primary wine. This is, nonetheless, a complex, well-balanced, well-structured Bordeaux, elegant enough to be in keeping with Domaine de Chevalier’s image and that it can be appreciated more quickly than the Great Wine.
